CCNP SWITCH Official Certification Guide

I am always a great fan of David Hucaby; he comes up with pretty good titles, which can be easily used for achieving Cisco Certifications by self-study. His latest addition to the world of Cisco Certification is CCNP SWITCH 642-813 Official Certification Guide.  Thanks to Cisco Press and David to release this title so soon.

Cisco.Press.CCNP.ROUTE.Study Guide - Wendell odom

CCNP ROUTE 642-902 Official Certification Guide is an excellent title with lot of info available in depth. As promised by Cisco Press this title is covers all the topics of Cisco CCNP Route 642-902 exam. This title too follows the typical Cisco Press Style; each chapter begins with “Do I know this Already? Quiz? Which is good to assess your knowledge and accordingly you can prepare for the exam. The best thing I personally liked about this title is the author started by reviewing EIGRP from CCNA perspective.

Bootable.USB.New

Hi folks...
When you think of a Windows installation source, the first thing that comes to mind is the disc medium. And many would stop there. What happens when your optical drive fails to work or you don't have any - netbooks, for instance? An external optical drive can be the resolution to the problem, that's for sure. But why not a USB flash drive? Yes, it is possible to make your USB stick your new source for installing Windows.
The simple title of the software at hand - A Bootable USB – is not what interests the crowd in need for a 100% working, ready-to-install Windows flash drive. Just prep your Windows installation disc or the ISO image of it and let's get started. The software takes a split-second to install and once you fire it up it will ask for the source of the Windows installation files. The interface will not strike you with colorful or over-the-top looks. It keeps things steady within a wizard case.

As soon as you successfully pass the first step of the wizard, you are required to select the USB drive you want to format in order to place the installation files on. It is recommended that you only keep the USB stick you intend to process connected to your PC during the usage of this program. This way both human mistakes as well as application errors are prevented. A Bootable USB requires a minimum 4GB USB drive and displays information about it such as name, capacity and free space.

Although some are claiming that Nokia has already lost the battle with Android and iOS devices, the company continues its normal business and besides offering the world a wide range of mobile phones, it also concentrates on the adjacent software solutions.

Such an application is Nokia Ovi Suite, a tool developed by the Finnish company for those who want to benefit the most from their Nokia-branded handhelds. Basically, it provides the same features as the popular Nokia PC Suite, but at a new level, claims the company, offering a wide array of utilities for the latest devices launched by the brand.

Installing Nokia Ovi Suite isn’t too difficult, but it could be if you’re not the kind of guy who likes to wait. Sure, the installer warns that “This may take a few minutes”, but the message should probably be that “This will definitely take a few minutes”. In plain English, installation takes a while, but don’t be too upset, you can still find out what the app is up to thanks to the features presented right in the installer.

Nokia Ovi Suite attempts to connect to your mobile phone using the USB cable, but we chose the Bluetooth option because… well, we are a bit lazy and it’s easier this way. Sure, transfer speeds would most likely have to suffer, but it’s still a great option.

Windows Live Messenger

Hi folks...
Previously known as MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger is Microsoft's answer to instant messaging. While largely the same as its predecessor, Windows Live Messenger is unique for allowing you to share folders and files locally with fellow users. It also serves up the usual animated emoticons, winks, and buzzes, along with multiplayer gaming, free PC-to-PC calling, mobile phone messaging, and video chatting. Plus it adds VoIP capabilities that let you call telephones around the world for a fee. Its one major omission, though, is it lacks the capability to receive inbound calls from landlines or cell phones, a service that competitor Yahoo Messenger with Voice offers.
Once installed, Windows Live Messenger displays a drop-down menu of features along the top, contacts within the center pane, a search box on the bottom, and tabs for eBay, Rhapsody, and other services along the left. Microsoft fans will like the integration with MSN Spaces and the company's other properties. Also a plus is that Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Live Messenger now let you directly connect with buddies who use either tool. To do so in the past, you'd have to use a tool such as Trillian.
We like Windows Live Messenger's Sharing Folders feature, which lets you to transfer files to and from your buddy's computer by displaying a mirror of each others' files on your desktops. The service can also store hundreds of contacts, and with a Webcam installed, you can make video chats with a full 640x480-pixel screen. In fact, we recommend Windows Live Messenger's video chat over that of other IM tools. Anyone who is entrenched within the Microsoft world will probably be best served by this particular IM client.

Advanced SystemCare Free 4 wants to be it all when it comes to keeping your system clean. It gives you a wealth of tools, rolling many of parent company IOBit's better-known system utilities--or at least those utilities' engines--into one convenient package.
The program's Quick Care option includes the ability to clean your Registry, perform a rudimentary malware scan, fix and remove broken shortcuts, delete junk files, and erase browsing tracks. It's no accident that to make the process even faster, with even less of a need for user input, that you can configure it to run on system start-up.
The Deep Care option adds several features to Quick Care. These include a deeper Registry clean, disk defragmenting, a "Windows vulnerability fix" and a "Passive Defense" that don't readily define what they do, and a system optimization option with several optimization presets. Advanced SystemCare Free has a fantastic range of features, but its Quick Care options are most transparent with how they'll affect your computer. Fortunately, the program's log records all of its activities. We'd just like to find out how a program like this is going to change our computer before it effects those changes.

File Scavenger

  Hi folks...
File Scavenger Version 3 is a file "undelete" and data recovery utility for Windows XP®, Windows 7, Vista, Windows Server 2003®, Windows 2000®, Windows NT® and Windows ME/98/95®. File Scavenger® can recover files that have been accidentally deleted (including files removed from the Recycle Bin, in a DOS window, from a network drive, from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key held down) provided that recovery is attempted before the files are permanently overwritten by new data. File Scavenger® supports both basic and dynamic disks, NTFS compression, alternate data streams, sparse files, Unicode filenames, etc. Except in severe cases, both the file and the folder path leading to the file can be recovered.
File Scavenger can also recover files from a reformatted or corrupted volume even when the volume has been deleted and its original position and size are unknown. File Scavenger® can scan an entire physical hard drive to look for traces of defunct volumes.
File Scavenger uses advanced algorithms to handle disks with bad sectors and badly corrupted partitions. It can be installed on a hard drive or run from a portable storage device such as a memory stick, removable drive, CD or floppy disk. To run File Scavenger®, you must log on as a system administrator to the computer where data recovery is intended.
Files can only be restored if the disk areas allocated to the files have not been overwritten by new data. All recovered files should be validated for the integrity of the recovered data.

Fortran Programming language

One of the oldest programming languages, the FORTRAN was developed by a team of programmers at IBM led by John Backus, and was first published in 1957. The name FORTRAN is an acronym for FORmula TRANslation, because it was designed to allow easy translation of math formulas into code.
Often referred to as a scientific language, FORTRAN was the first high-level language, using the first compiler ever developed. Prior to the development of FORTRAN computer programmers were required to program in machine/assembly code, which was an extremely difficult and time consuming task, not to mention the dreadful chore of debugging the code. The objective during it's design was to create a programming language that would be: simple to learn, suitable for a wide variety of applications, machine independent, and would allow complex mathematical expressions to be stated similarly to regular algebraic notation. While still being almost as efficient in execution as assembly language. Since FORTRAN was so much easier to code, programmers were able to write programs 500% faster than before, while execution efficiency was only reduced by 20%, this allowed them to focus more on the problem solving aspects of a problem, and less on coding.
